Bitcoin price has climbed again in recent days, after pulling back from initial gains, and has returned to the $2,900 level. As the price stays stable, mainstream news outlets around the world aretaking notice.
Take the second largest newspaper in Germany, the Süddeutsche Zeitung. The article, titled Digital Anarchy, is a description of some of the major news in the tech space, with a focus on cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin and Ethereum. “Bitcoin is going berserk”: Barron’s
Barron’s, the famous American publication, ran an article summing up the major events in the financial markets to date in 2017. Among the quotations on the front page was the statement “Bitcoin is going berserk.” While that isn’t a very positive comment, it nevertheless represents a clear indication that Bitcoin is becoming front page news around the world.
Last, but not least, a cat statue in Shanghai, China, with different world currencies, included the Bitcoin symbol placed among the fiat currencies of the world.
Again, no one of these events has any major bearing on the Bitcoin market but taken together, they show that the world is continuing to sit up and take notice of the cryptocurrency.
