Bitcoin Fork: What happens to the Alt-Coins?

What happens if there is a Bitcoin fork in August (which currently seems likely)?

1. It could be boon for Ethereum, Litecoin, XRP and many other alt-coins, or alternatively...
2. It could depress all coin prices as has usually been the case when Bitcoin drops or ....
3. It could depress most alt-coin prices but one or two will take top spot and rise.

Your thoughts? Which do you think more likely?
