If you followed the Drama Bitcoin range this week, you might have heard the word "stock split" interviewed by "experts".
Before getting into trouble here, it's true that there are now two bitcoins listed on the stock exchange, with similar names in suggestions of similar value. They even come across some great exchanges.
The impulse to use the existing terminology as a metaphor for reference to emerging technology is understandable. In fact, it is incredibly useful to use existing spiritual models as a metaphor for things that we do not have in our heads.
