The big issue will be if people migrate towards other platforms in big numbers. Steem is getting flooded with bots and link dumpers, so it really needs some checks and balances in place to keep it streamlined.

I expect a two-way flow of multi-platform adoption. People won't exit Steemit; they'd just adopt more platforms that offer an open content market (powered by MEDIA Protocol).
