Anyone who follows my posts know I like to look at statistical data when it comes to cryptocurrency.
As I've mentioned before, I started playing around with fake portfolios and creating "what if scenarios". Well today is exactly 14 days since I've made these fake portfolios.
You might not agree with my on my choices of coins or even the labels I put on the coins. Regardless, it's interesting to see what has occurred in the last 14 days with these "what if" investments.
Some things to note:
- Each portfolio only has 5k "invested.
- Of the 5k, $3,000 is always invested into bitcoin as a "hedge" and the other 2k was split up $500 each into the other coins.
- This is only a 6 month gamble. Basically which coins will give the greatest returns by April, 2018.
- You can't actively trade the coins, it's a true set it and forget it concept.

Bitcoin is winning right now, but that kind of seems to be a given since Bitcoin starting hitting all time highs.
It's also kind of funny to realize the "risky bet" would have made the most money so far if I hadn't added in Chainlink into the mix. It's by far the worst investment in the last 14 days.
It's not a lot of time since the portfolios were made, but it will be interesting to see what they look like another month from now.

cryptocompare.com I must warn you though sometimes the graph can be glitchy. I check out my portfolio one day and it claimed I had an 11k profit! I was super excited until I realized it was a glitch...refreshed the page and reality kicked back in LOL

Thanks @freedomtrader I've made multiple fake portfolios just for pure fun...or just to look back and cry at the opportunities I didn't take! You can make as many as you want on the site and it pulls data from multiple exchanges.
