Happy Bitcoin Birthday!

Nakamoto Satoshi started a peaceful revolution.

Genesis block

The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on Brink of Second Bailout for Banks

The first Bitcoin block ever mined had that message inscribed. And the rest locked it in for as long as the blockchain excists. Even those that forked off are still holding this part of history in their core. Sixteen years have been gone and shortly before that BTC went past a value of a 100'000 USA Dollar. Leaving a precious metal like Gold behind in it's kilogram value. And how many times was there a Tulip bubble about to burst? Recently something that is known as the European Union started another regulation attack on Cryptocurrencies. Yet it can function within its own realm.

One thing that made Bitcoin unique was that it could function without an intermediate. Banks these days can stop a transaction and lock it. Yes, even what is your own money can be held back. Until you can prove its legit, according to the Banking Monetary Governance system its rules. For your own safety and what not. Ah yes sure, now I will forget it is my own money that you lock. While being treated as guilty until proven innocent. Hiding behind the statement that they do not make the rules, they just do as they're told. By which that rules by the might of the sword. And I once was ignorent, until I came to understand that this is actually a curse.

Can we still send and receive Cryptocurrencies freely? Without anybody their 'claimed' ruling? Yes! That's one of the most beautiful aspects of Bitcoin and it's blockchain technology. It can be done here too, in a jiffy even. As long as you have the private keys, or seed words, to any Cryptocurrency you can send it. You can even create your own personal Token if you want too. Or dozens if you like. As I recently minted the 'Wet Fart' DAO {Decentralized Autonomous Organisation} Token on the DeSo blockchain. It is the thing nobody wants, so I'm not counting on it to have any utility. But stranger things have happened recently. And Fun 'n Meme coins are the current Rock 'n Roll in the Cryptos realm.

No Hive without it

The developer of Bitshares, Daniel Larimer, invented DPOS {Delegated Proof Of Stake}, which became the blockchain engine for Bitshares 2. Maybe his name seems familiar to you. Not just because he once has a forum conversation with the Enigma, Nakamoto, himself. That lead to another famous Satoshi quote:

If you don't believe it or don't get it, I don't have the time to try to convince you, sorry.

But it seemed that Daniel Larimer actually did get it. And he moved on with Steem. A publication platform on a blockchain that was build on Bitshares technology. Which started out as a Bitcoin UTXO {Unspend TranXion Output} based fork. Hurray for Open Source software! As we are 8 years on our way now in the application and publication blockchain technology. Currently known as Hive.

Without the Bitcoin blockchain technology it is hard to imagine that something like Hive would have ever been possible. And this accounts for all those things you can find on sites like Coin Gecko dot Com and many others. It has created many opportunities that would not have been there without the invention of Bitcoin. Even if you do not have any BTC, but you are publishing here and get rewarded in Hive, it still has it's core principle that makes it possible for you and many others to do so. And we've only just begun. Now that's worth celebrating. Long live Bitcoin and the blockchain technology and everything that came forth from it, like Hive! 🥳

Have a great one!

A powerful reminder of how revolutionary the Bitcoin genesis block was and still is today! The fact that blockchain technology empowers individuals to maintain financial freedom without intermediaries is truly game-changing.
It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come since that historic first block, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes us next. Thanks for sharing this important reflection

It is my pleasure to share my thoughts on this. The technology is truly amazing and it's great to see how it constantly evolves.

It offers a lot of possibilities to a lot of people all over earth. Empowering them in a way that would not have been possible otherwise.

And we've only just begun...

So let’s keep going 💪
