about a month ago i shared news about Charlie Lee (founder Litecoin) and his predictions for 2018. Looking back and compare the numbers of Testnet for LN:

That means, the number of nodes and channels have nearly tripled!

It's clear there is much interest in launching the Lightning Network as fast as possible. More important the real world usage on the mainnet.
Mainnet usage - what's really count!

There is a clear trend.. up! While developers of Lightning Network strongly recommended not using the mainnet with real money.. people still do because the companies behind believe in the couragoues attempt to improve it even faster with more skin in the game in the real world.

A user named tyzbit created a nice interactive 3D graph of the Lightning Network but i think currently i needs to be updated manually as is not up to date.

Yes, it needs time but the numbers don't lie. It's good to get a perspective away from the FUD of mass media.
