That moment you realize $5100 is Bitcoin's biggest drop in a month

in #bitcoin7 years ago

The Bitcoin price went from $5600 all the way down to $5100 yesterday. A $500 dollar drop, but the price has recovered since then with the same speed with which it fell down yesterday. At almost $5700, Bitcoin is now even higher than yesterday's top. Let's see if Bitcoin goes to $6000 in the coming days. It seems Bitcoin’s pre-fork price rollercoaster has begun :)

A Bitcoin sell-off to $5100... Who would have thought that at the beginning of this year? I've created two funny memes which you can find at the bottom of my crypto report :)

Litecoin Price Heads Back to $60 Thanks to Strong Gains

The past few days have been filled with ups and downs for most major cryptocurrencies. Although some altcoins would prefer not to be correlated with Bitcoin, they can’t escape this inevitable fate these days. Slowly but surely, things are heading back in the right direction regardless. This is especially true where the Litecoin price is concerned, as surpassing US$60 again is only a matter of time right now.

yes, expect new ATH soon. There is a lot of money at the sideline now institutional investors get interested.

Bullish like hell!

my thoughts exactly - it will AT LEAST hit $6K, probably more, before the next pullback... and the pullback will probably be short lived.

Thank you for this lovely report as usual penguinpablo, the piece of news that stood out to me was the one about Ripple. I would argue that steem/it is an even lower barrier of entry to the unbanked/underbanked and the fact that the foundation has chosen to look at Ripple instead of Steemit is a bit disappointing, if only they paid attention to crypto's outside of the top 10.

I think most investors have realized how bad the bitcoin gold will affect the whole crypto world now. Thus, money has been flowing back from btc to alts :)

Wow, the recovery was really fast. I knew it old bounce the moment it hit the 5000-5100 resistance, but I did not expect it to happen so fast. Bitcoin is sure heading for the 6000 mark.

lol I literally just made the same comment. Great minds think alike!

I think people deserve to toast to Bitcoin. At 5,100 and guys are crying that it has dipped so low. Remember in January guys were predicting an all time high of 2000 come December 2017! Biycoin is now almost tripling that all time high prediction. A toast to bitcoin...

Did not know where else to do it so I do it here.
Thank you very much for a fantastic tool, that I use with much pleasure every day. Thank you!

Great Post as always!
It seems to happen in the blink of a eye and then you have to wait for the next opportunity.
Thanks for sharing & Steem On :)

Thanks for the post and very nice

You can say that again. The Pre-fork hype of price is not what many anticipated. And it will only get better.

Awesome insight information about BTC, can we expect to $10000 in 2018?

I think the fork is not going to affect the price as it didnot affect the price that much when the last fork happened!

This fork is a bit different then BCH fork, but when the smoke goes, it will still go up again :)

Very informative! Thanks!

Hey @penguinpablo. Is there an issue with steemnow.com? I’ve had trouble with the site for the last couple days. Was just wondering. Thanks!

The node steemd.steemit.com is sometimes a bit slow. You can choose another node in the settings (top right).

Lol, at those funny images.. And also thanks for the nice and helpful article... It really help. Steem on! @penguinpablo

My novice opinion:

I just read some posts that Bitcoin Gold won't be so easy to get as Bitcoin cash but we have to provide some keys to receive it which is risky.

I would love to see a post from you about that :D
