The British territory of Gibraltar has got its first Bitcoin ATM. The BTM was reportedly installed in the reception area of the World Trade Center Gibraltar. It currently accepts Gibraltar pounds, British pound sterling and Euro notes. Bitcoin enthusiast Ludek Safranek is the owner of the first BTM in Gibraltar. According to Coinatmradar, the machine charges a fee of 4.3% on purchasing Bitcoin. Altcoins will be added soon to this BTM.
Gibraltar has now become one of the hotspots for cryptocurrency companies due to its attractive tax benefits and loose regulations. The Gibraltar Stock Exchange approved a Bitcoin Exchange Traded Instrument (ETI) which invests exclusively in bitcoin in July 2016.
