A customer pays a BlockPay network fee from 0.5% flat. Although a debit or credit-card is not free, a customer doesn't pay a fee using a terminal at a merchant. What arguments a merchant can use to convince the customer to switch to (a) smartcoins(wallet) ?

Well 0.5% seems very reasonable for being able to pay with cryptocoins without having to convert them to fiat. Such a conversion is going to eat up more anyway
