Did they get better? Just curious what type of linguistics are you into? Are you a writer?

Lots of stuff got better. Other things I am still struggling with but I will prevail!
Linguistics: I was mostly into historical linguistics until I dropped out of my Ph.D. program. I write, but haven't tried to get published in a long time. I need to work on that. I haven't written my novel yet. I am halfway through a play.
