We are indeed in a turbulent market. STEEM is down 25% and Bitcoin is down 7.5% over the past 7 days.
At the time of this writing, the above percentages were present on coinmarketcap.com. As an investor, I draw information from several sources. Bitcoin appears to have a bright future. I feel it's a solid call for the long run because more retailers are adding it as an approved payment method, and its dominance is growing over other cryptos.
Ok someone out there says, "Hey what about the potential hard fork?" If the price drops again, I will buy some more. You are either on the field calling the plays or you are in the stands spectating.
Another old adage comes to mind...
Investing is a risk especially in cryptocurrency.
Shifting gears, I also exchanged some Ethereum for STEEM Power today. I realize how beneficial it is to both myself and our community to be powered up.
What is STEEM Power?
According to the frequently asked questions, "STEEM Power is a measurement of how much influence a user has in the Steem network. The more STEEM Power a user holds, the more they can influence the value of posts and comments. STEEM Power is less liquid. If a user wishes to “Power Down”, they will receive equal distributions of the STEEM weekly, over a 13 week period."

For my prepper and homesteader friends, $500 can go a long way in securing resources. This was not an easy decision but the Bitcoin target price was inviting so I pulled the trigger.

STEEM ON

Good post brother. I definitely think the downward correction isn't quite over yet. Red truly is Summer's favorite color. This is always a good time of year to buy metals also. I don't think $1 Steem and $2k Bitcoin is out of the question. We'll just get some more on sale. :)
Thanks a million for the compliment. I am holding some capital in reserve for "red sales".
