Avarage BTC cost of mining is 5500 $
According to various sources from the web, it seems that the avarage cost of mining 1 Bitcoin is around 5500 $, but it can change due to energy and harware cost.
Moreover we need to take into consideration thaht biggest mining company have lower costs thanks to economies of scale. (Remember that the biggest mining company has the 40% of power alone).
Bitcoin mining can became cheaper (for a few miners)
If you think about it, when Bitcoin price is under 5000 $, many small mining companies don't have enought profit margin to keep on miming Bitcoin, so they may change and go for Bitcoin Cash. This choice could lead to a reduction of hashing power on the Bitcoin network, that means: easy job for the miners left. And considering money, it means cheaper work to mine Bitcoin. So yes, mining Bitcoin can became cheaper
Cheap mining and little decentralization
Considering what above, after the bearish trend of Bitcoin price and the possible exit of small miners, we may face the reality of a single company with 45-50% of the total ashing power. That, in my opinion, could be really dangerous for the Bitcoin blockchain, because a group of hackers could have a relativly easy way to set a 51% attack, because attacking only one miming company may be enought.
Big miners may enjoy the bearish Bitcoin trends
What do you think about it?
