What if we put together a charitable campaign, as a community - and decided to distribute a ceartain amount of crypto to the world out there... May that be a struggling to survive family in Africa, or a disabled child in Venezuela... How do we actually proceed in delivering the crypto assets and how do we maintain transparency in that the distributed funds have arrived at the destination and have been used in the way that was planned?
Well, GiveCrypto.org - are now on their 3rd Trial of the Venezuelan experiment, where they are testing both variations: 1) of selecting a team of local ambassadors to take full responsibility of making sure the crypto-donations have made it all the way to the recepient and have been used accordingly; 2) sending the donation directly to the household.
Whilst our CWT team is keeping a close eye on their experiment and will be taking part the minute we establish direct contact with GiveCrypto - there is one thing, that, in our opinion - must get done before anything else.
And that is to make sure that, if all that is actually needed today to receive a crypto payment - is a mobile device - then we must put cumulative effort to start from onboarding those households, who do not have mobile devices at their disposal!
It seems obvious to me, right from the get go - that if the household doesn't have an access to a mobile phone - then that particular household is in the worst financial situation, comparing to the households that have the devices.
I think this one is pretty straightforward.
www.givedirect.io - another project to keep an eye on for those who are not ignorant to the problem of World poverty - they have actually held various campaigns addressing the problem of the lack of mobile devices in various regions, prior to any direct crypto donations being made possible.
The details remain unconfirmed, as for now, which is why I felt it was important for me to highlight this within the Steem community.
I am new here and would love to see what kind of feedback can we get from the community that already proved to having saved people from hunger and dragged them away from the poverty line - I am talking about the algorithm that Steem blockchain is built on, where every human on Earth can be rewarded for simply participating in the network, providing a bit a value to the community.
We are at the forefront of flipping the unfair monetary economy… inhuman and vicious… provoking wars, crimes and confronting us with each other.
Can you see that?
