How to cash out your well earned sbd! (for newbies)

in #bitcoin8 years ago

Okay, so, @thepinkbyhamann was telling me that she didn't know how to cash out her Steem Dollars or Steem. It had me wondering if this was a common issue amongst the newbies and through that I decided to create a tutorial about the entire process. What do you think? Useful?

Thanks for watching! :)

@thepinkbyhamann would probably benefit from a coinbase.com account in the U.S..

Two days ago, I would have recommended Coinbase. I love the interface and the ease of use.

Today, not sure, because there is an issue that prevents Ethereum transactions (buying and selling). Bitcoin and Litecoin transactions are fully functioning per the website

You have to decided whether or not it is a good choice at the time!

If you convert to BTC you can sell no problem then ;)
I dont think theres a problem with coinbase as such i just think the network has been clogged up by ICO's recently. I managed to cash out last week no problem and had my money quicker than stated on their website :) I will be building a mining rig with my earnings - Just waiting for the parts to arrive (if they ever do - wish me luck)

I think that was just because there was an overload of ETH transfers today. I heard that on one exchange ETH went down to just 13 bucks!

I keep hearing horror stories from people about Coinbase. I'm scared to use them now. lol

It sounds like a lot of ETH transactions were suspended today after a crash sell off. This was not just a Coinbase issues, but it was the first place I was able to see the issue personally.

I don't use coinbase so I wouldn't know, but, I'll take your word from it seeing as I'm in the UK :)

STOPPPP!!! Don't cash out Steem family....Power up instead.

I agree. Sometimes though the cash does help!

Great advice!!!

Very well explain. Good job :)

thank you for information.

I saw another a bit similiar video like this. But its nice to help people. Thanks for the vid! That's not so easy process, especially for the ones who are new.

Yup! It's not! Hopefully it helps a few!

thank you for the info

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for, thank you so much! Upvoted and Resteemed!

Raymond speaks and we listen ;D

No problem! I hope it's useful :)

wow this is pretty useful thanks man

Of the thousands of new users joining Steemit everyday, I'm sure a lot of them will appreciate this, if they are new to cryptocurrency and are wondering how to get the cash in their hands.

Good work :)

Thank you :)

As a newbie this is very useful although i haven't accumulated enough to withdraw.personally i ntend to stockpile steem and sbd to increase my influence tokens and ultimately earn more. Unless i have an emergency i won't withdraw.

That's a good plan. I like that :)

Ich bitte darum :)

Thank you for a good tutorial for a very commonly asked question. While the FAQ kinda describes it, it's very helpful to see it step-by-step.

Very useful info.

Thank you for this! I've been wondering, but afraid to mess with it for fear of losing it all. I. O.o

No problem! Did it help? :)

Honestly I haven't watched it yet O.o we had church last night, and have been on the phone all morning, tryin to get phone plans switched over etc.. gotta love that adult life XD

Hah! Well, it's there for you if you need it. I went through every last detail with a fine tooth comb

Oh i will definitely be watching it today and using it to cash out ! Again thank you so so much, this was soooo needed

No problemo! :)

Yes this is useful. Many have trouble with this.

Thanks for the guide! Sure will cash out by the time :)

Thank im new here this video will help me alot for sure

Im new and try to reach 100 followers, follow me guys if you can

Thank you :)

i'm simply investing in Steem rather than the dollars. All of that may change however if it becomes a few grand ;-) Nice post.

Thank you! Yes, I am too :)

Thanks for the vote. It's deeply need after the disaster of my ETH locked up in inaccessible Coinbase !

I'm praying it will rebound after the earlier fiasco. I plan on holding for a few months so it shouldn't be an issue

I'm holding all my crypto right now. I'm not cashing out much mainly because I believe this is just the beginning :)

Are you selling at the top and buying at the bottom, or just leaving them ? Also any thoughts on the possible split of Bitcoin in August ?

I don't have any invested in Bitcoin. When I transfer to btc I'm going to be cashing out in the next hour. I'm gathering right now. I'm too spontaneous for grabbing at the bottom and selling at the top! - I am trying to buy at the bottom though

lol tell it about it. Certainly plays with the mind. I find the best thing to do is buy and forget. As you no doubt know it really beats you up when constantly staring at the price 24/7. I am starting to break away from that mindset.

Hope that you get your ETH back; however, this should be a lesson to never keep your investments in an exchange or any wallet you do not own the private keys for!

thank you for sharing

Very informative, really useful.
Thanks for sharing!

No problem! :)

That bit remains a hard off for many newbies. sharing the way forward remains the best thing that you did.

I'm big on sharing it forward :)

Thanks for your helpful post. This might be considered common sense to some people, but Steemit needs tutorials like this to help new users out.. If Facebook and Twitter users are to use this platform, the idea of exchanging cryptos needs to be made simple.

Yep. Needs to be explained simply and clearly

thank you wish you success in your endeavors

No matter what I read to try to find out, I still don't have complete understanding. I guess I just keep trying. Your tutorials will be next.
Thanks so much.

Hope it helps!

Very informative post and video, thank you!
