A steem article written by @reminescu claimed that a festival called "Ghost Month" in Asians countries such as China, Japan, and Singapore was the blame for the certain Asian based crypto currencies such as NEO, TenX, and OMG were a stand still in price...
Ghost Month Every year as the month of August comes, people in the stock market become fearful of the ghost month. Many advise to avoid investing during this time, as it is considered bad luck.
According to Chinese tradition, particularly Buddhists and Taoists, the Festival of the Hungry Ghost is when the gates of hell are opened and spirits from there go out and roam the earth.
According to superstition, one must focus on honoring the spirits that are visiting earth during this time.
However a YouTuber by the name of @bitesizebitcoin did some digging and pulled up the historical charts data of crypto currencies such as bitcoin #litecoin #dogecoin, #ethereum, and #steemit and it seems during the so called "ghost month" in recent years they all went up besides Steem instead of a stale market we are currently seeing... You can watch the video @bitesizebitcoin published on youtube below...
With that being said September is looking to a breakout month in cryptocurrency... Bring on the BULLS!!!
That is really interesting I didn't know that and I'm asian
I am curious if that is really what is holding Asian investors back also...
