Long-term investment - Bitcoin or Altcoins?

in #bitcoin9 years ago

Hi guys,

I'm looking into investing long term in cryptocurrency - just putting some away for a while.

I'm aware that many people are against long-term investments in cryptocurrency. But assuming you would still be interested in it, would you invest in bitcoin or altcoins?

(As for investing in Steem, I think I'm going to wait a bit longer before deciding whether or not to invest).

Sort:

I would also divide it. 50% bitcoin and 50% antshares. I believe that Antshares will make the better long term investment and it is the coin I am most optimistic about. However Bitcoin has a brand name that ordinary people are starting to pick up on. So within the next 5-10 years at least Bitcoin will probably be the safest way to ride the cryptocurrency boom.

I'd invest in both Bitcoin and Alt coins.
Your portfolio should always be a little diverse
and it makes no sense to have all your eggs in one basket
because that basket could always slip and fall.

That's a good point, thanks!

Both. And holding coins are useless, need to learn to trade them for profit.

Very good article. I was about to start a similair discussion. It's surprising how much uneducated investors the crypto space has. You still see people invest in this shady and scammy coins. We really need more insights in the market and previous investment results. Does anyone know about: https://www.coincheckup.com I'm using this site that gives in depth reports on every tradable cryto in the market.
