U.S. government selling Bitcoin?!

First article I saw today about bitcoin was in coindesk:
US Government to Sell Off $10 Million in Seized Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash

During a opioid drug case 513 BTC were confiscated. Now they worth around $10 million and the government attorneys in the state of Utah are trying to sell them. Not only BTC but a similar amount of BCH.

There's a sentence in the court order that put me thinking:
" The BTC and BCH have been transferred to a government wallet"

Wait... what?! I thought it had been seized... like frozen... put out of circulation... laying there... because there's the way it should work... on the SEIZED WALLET!!!

Apparently they were moved to a US government BTC and BCH wallet (this phrase alone is weird enough)... and they are now selling... after it increased A LOT in value. I don't even know where to begin...
The official narrative that "Bitcoin is not money" and "people should stay away from it" just became ridiculous. Who are they selling it, then? And why are they making a profit out of it?

This is government being government = being greedy and inconsistent. I hope they do it because some more people will realize their true intentions behind every statement on cryptocurrencies.

The article also states that "In June, the South Korean government also sought to auction 216 bitcoins confiscated during a 2016 criminal investigation."

Recently I also read about something similar happening in Bulgaria.

It will happen again and again. It's normal to happen in countries that embrace cryptocurrencies or at least that are not actively fighting them. The others should act according to their official positions... It would help them to keep the appearances.
