Hello steemians Last time i talked about 5 upcoming fork and 3 fork is scheduled currently. Today i will talk about nearest fork scheduled in December 17. Super bitcoin fork will happen in block 498888 estimated schedule is December 17 but maybe possible happen 1 or 2 day before.
What is Super bitcoin (SBTC) ?
It's a bitcoin fork. Propose of this fork is expand block size to 8MB per block. Increasing block size will help to bitcoin more faster transaction with lower fee but it also have some negative side in my thought.
Here is some negative sides but in our current situation block size need to expand.
-Larger blocks make full nodes more expensive to operate.
-Therefore, larger blocks lead to less hashers running full nodes, which leads to centralized entities having more power, which makes Bitcoin require more trust, which weakens Bitcoins value proposition.
-The larger the hash-rate a single miner controls, the more centralized Bitcoin becomes and the more trust using Bitcoin requires.
-Running your own full node while mining rather than giving another entity the right to your hash-power decreases the hash-rate of large miners. Those who have hash-power are able to control their own hash power if and only if they run a full node.
-Less individuals who control hash-power will run full nodes if running one becomes more expensive
Super bitcoin road map
The roadmap involves embedding Smart Contracts on March 31st, 2018, followed by incorporating Zero Knowledge Proof on May 31st 2018, followed by dynamic checkpoint protection on November 30th 2018 to fully decentralize mining.
Bitcoin Holders will be rewarded with SBTC on a 1:1 basis at the fork, and the total supply of SBTC will be 21,210,000, of which 210,000 will be pre-mined. The 210,000 pre-mined tokens will be managed by the Super BTC Foundation, and will be mainly used to encourage early developers, for investment in the SBTC ecosystem, and to ensure the operation of the SBTC Foundation.
And currently 12 exchange is supporting Super bitcoin.
