Apparently coinbase is using bech 32 segwit now but for withdrawal but it making their transactions weigh less now :)
For anyone not knowing what bech32 is it segwit improved. I think of bech32 as segwit 2.0
segwit scales bitcoin onchain 2x.
bech32 segwit scales bitcoin 2.2x with better security .
Now coinbase need to add batching. coinbases uses 40% of bitcoin network usage. With batching it would slash the usage in half.
I can't wait for bullet proof to come!
Scaling bitcoin at minimum 5 times without a block increase!! In fact if all transactions were on bulletproof the bitcoin chain would be only 11 gb (or even less)now 😀
Bullterproof is coming in 2018 :)
Monero is adding which means when most of the kinks are done bitcoin will add it in 2019. And by then Ln will be out so bulletproof would make LN transactions evrn cheaper.
