Bitcoin was Orkut, but ETH in comparison can be Facebook.
I’ll try to be as much realistic as possible (Though little biased for ETH).
But the probability is in our favor as Bitcoin had the first movers advantage but etherium can build upon the flaws of Bitcoin. That’s what Facebook did to Orkut.
A story with a timeline -
May 2014 - I was lying on my bed surfing through the net and suddenly came across Bitcoin. Being an information junkie, I went through all of how it works. And then I saw the price. $107. “That’s expensive”, I said to myself.
November 2017 - I had established peace with myself about the fact that I let it go at $107. I invested in Bitcoin when it faced a resistance at $10k. It was obvious that the $10k mark had to be broken sooner or later. I got in at around $9.3k. Little did I know my money would almost be doubled in a few days. I cashed out at around $17k.
Now I was profitable in Bitcoin. Projected calculations show it could reach upto 100k.
But I exchanged all of the Bitcoins for ETH. My Reason?
I feel ETH has a better future and in long term it is going to boomed....The best thing is many new coins are based on the etherium block chain, hence ETH is proving its real world use.
It is only my thought, experts may please rectify..
