I have a very great family, every member of my family, my parents, my older brothers and sister, and my new born brother, they are very great. So today, please allow me to solemnly introduce my family members.

My Father: Decentralization

First of all, it's my father. He is a famous philosopher, his name is called the decentralization.

My father was born in a virtual world of all humanity and is a faith living in the brain of all humanity.In English, we call him Decentralization. In the Chinese language world, he also gave himself a fashionable name, called decentralization. But on the Internet, people are used to calling him P2P.

My father has already existed when mankind appeared. He is a kind of faith that removes the center and then realizes between peopledirect communication, direct transaction, and direct dissemination. He believes that one day we may no longer need a centralized institution.

In the midst of several hundred thousand years of human history, father has always been looking for a person he truly loves who can achieve his ideal of decentralization philosophy.

My father once loved religion, such as Christianity. Christianity used to be church-centered. Since he fell in love with Christianity, everyone can directly associate with God, not necessarily through the church.

Later, he discovered that this was not thorough enough, so he also liked the decentralized politics. From then on, everyone could express himself opinion and thus created a democratic system.

Later he liked a lot of different kinds of people, but it was not until my mother's appearance that he realized what true love was.

My Mother: Internet

My mother is the Internet.

The Internet is a network structure with no centralized nodes. Each point, in essence, is equally important on the whole Internet. So my father has fallen in love with her completely and madly since he met my mother. Then they combined and formed a family.

After that, they gave birth to eight children who have perpetuated father's decentralization genes and had a huge impact on the entire world.

I rank in the old seven, with 6 brothers and sisters in front, and 1 youngest brother behind. This is my family. Now please allow me to introduce my brothers and sisters one by one.

Oldest Brother: P2P Download

My oldest brother, his name is P2P download. P2P is my father's last name, so the first child's surname is P2P and the name is Download.

Oldest brother came to this world in 1999. The one who helped him to deliver his birth is a very famous entrepreneur in the Internet world today. His name is Shawn Fanning. He founded a mp3 music sharing site called Napster in 1999. He is also one of Facebook’s earliest advisors, investors and shareholders.

Napster allows everyone to freely download MP3, but this mp3 file is not on the hard disk of the Napster website. If that's the case, all the music on the entire Internet is here and the amount of storage is very large.

So Shawn did one thing by bringing together mp3 on everyone's computer into a directory. If you want to download mp3, then Napster will find those computers with this mp3, download one small fragment after another from these computers, and then assemble this mp3 on your computer. So Napster does not own MP3 itself. He just helps those who have mp3 to share with each other. We call this peer-to-peer sharing.

The essence of my oldest brother is a kind of sharing of hard disks. It is to take out a portion of the hard disks on everyone's computer and share it with others.

Later, my oldest brother also has a corresponding form in China, that is, Thunder. Thunder is to do P2P download, its logic is to put the movie files on each different computer, and then share them with each other, this mode greatly saves resources.

My parents are very happy because my oldest brother has brought great changes to human beings. Napster also declared bankruptcy in 2002.

My parents then gave birth to their second child, my second brother, CDN.

At that time, there was one problem with people watching movies on the Internet. For example, if you watch a movie in Shanghai through a video website, because the movie is stored on a server in Beijing, it will be very slow in Shanghai. If you watch this movie in Shenzhen, the response will be more slowly.

What can we do? One way is to put this movie on servers in a lot of different regions. When you are watching a movie, find the nearest server to access it. This is the CDN.

As a result, many telecommunications companies in the United States and China became the midwife of my second brother. They put the content in a lot of different places. When you watch a movie in Shanghai, watching from your nearest engine room -- on a server in Shanghai. People watching movies in Beijing are watching on a server in Beijing. This is a distributed storage that shares distributed bandwidth.

When my second brother grew up, it evolved into a form called P-CDN, which put my father's surname P2P in front of them, and turned everyone's home computer into a CDN.

In the past, we put the content in the engine room, both in China and in the United States, the number of the engine rooms was limited. If you can put everyone's home bandwidth out, so that when you watch movies, you visit your neighbor's computer, the speed is the fastest.

With regard to the landing of the P-CDN, we must also thank the company that helped oldest brother to take root in China, Thunder. Thunder started using P-CDN very early. It sold to members a commodity. It was called make money treasure in those year, and later called OneThing Cloud. It is actually a device that allows members to use their home network to access each other's network bandwidth.

My Third Brother: Distributed Computing

What is it called distributed computing? It is the work that requires a lot of calculations, such as deciphering passwords, or calculating a sequence of DNA, and decomposing it into countless pieces. Divide it into small pieces and throw it to a small computer all over the world, such as your personal computer at home.

When the CPUs of thousands, tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of personal computers around the world are calculated at the same time, the calculation speed will be faster than that of a supercomputer anyway.

My parents were particularly happy because they gave birth to a scientist. Some problems that humans could not solve before, such as genetics and cryptography problems that required a lot of calculations, were easily resolved in front of my thirdbrother. So I worship my thirdbrother very much.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have already introduced you to my three brothers: P2P Download, P-CDN and Distributed Computing.

They each have their own abilities. My oldest brother is used to share hard disks; my second brother is used to share network bandwidth; the thirdbrother is used to share CPU resources. When my three older brothers grew up, they took care of each other and helped each other, so they united together to form an alliance called edge computing.

In the past, we provided resource sharing by the way of cloud computing, and cloud computing was one of our distant relatives, is through the Internet to provide everyone with a huge, remote cloud computer.

But my three older brothers discussed whether we can provide a centralized computing resource without using the cloud. Instead, we can share the CPU resources, network resources, and hard disk resources of each computer, so all over the world's computers together into a virtual computer.

We call it distributed cloud computing, which provides cloud computing services by the entire network of computers and then we coordinate everyone. When the three brothers discussed each other, they called their combination the edge computing.

I particularly admire three older brothers because I believe that edge computing will give my parents special honor, and I wish that their edge computing plan will be a great success.

My Fourth Sister: Social Media

After this, my parents gave birth to my fourth sister - social media. She was the first girl born to my parents, so they particularly liked her.

In the past, the media was centralized, though it may represent justice, and it may represent a neutral point of view. Within all the world, the right to speak is concentrated in the hands of a few people.

Who is the person that delivered my fourth sister? In the United States, we especially want to thank Facebook and Twitter. In China, we would like to thankSina micro-blog and Tencent.They both delivered my fourth sister.

The birth of my fourth sister has greatly increased the confidence of my parents. She has made everyone's voice heard by all over the world. She is a flower loved by everyone in the Internet world.

My Fifth Brother: P2P Lending

My parents suddenly thought: Can we have a child in the financial field, too? With the aid of an American named Renaud Laplanche, they gave birth to the fifth brother and gave him the name of P2P Lending.

Renaud thought, a rich man, why do you want to put money in the bank? If you want to borrow money, why do you have to go to the bank to borrow it? So he founded a company called the Lending Club and helped my parents deliver the child.

Fifth brother has done a lot of things in the world that a lot of others feel are very risky, but it also helped many people borrow moneysuccessfully.

The fifth brother is the most controversial one in our entire family. But I think that he is still in his teens today. When he grows up and he has a more understanding of risks, I believe he will do better.

My Sixth Brother: Crowdfunding

After my parents gave birth to my fifth brother in the financial field, they soon gave birth to a sixth brother. He is called Crowdfunding, to help him deliver is an American company named Angel List, meaning angel list.

In the past, our financing was to find venture capital, or to go public. These are the methods of centralized financing. In fact, the money of institutions or the stock market is also given by numerous investors. If an enterprise needs money, can it directly find these scattered investors to borrow?

Today's financial world is regulated, because there are many unqualified investors in the world. Those who do not have the ability to identify and bear risks, take money from them, there will be financial risks.

In China, more than 200 people are called illegal fund-raising. Within 200 people can we find people who have the ability to identify and bear risks, and take their money without having to go through an intermediary? We call this approach crowdfunding. This is my sixth brother.

Compared with my fifth brother, the sixth brother will appear a bit calmer. Because he involves financial risks, he will still make the world feel headache. But he has made many good entrepreneurs get investments so that they could have the opportunity to change the world.

Uber, the U.S. taxi software company, has caused great repercussions around the world. Their first money was obtained from the angel list through crowdfunding.

I like my sixth brother very much. When he was a teenager, he was a person of outstanding ability, and he had already made such a great achievement.

I, Seven: Blockchain

I am the seventh child and I am called the Blockchain. The person who delivered me is called Satoshi Nakamoto. Satoshi Nakamoto published a paper in 2008. The title of the paper is called "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System".

I want to emphasize two points with you. The first is based on peer-to-peer technology. Peer to peer is my father, P2P.

The second is called digital cash. There is a great difference between digital cash and digital currency. Currency is a currency, and currency is not just cash. The digital cash system is a very narrow field.

What is cash? Banknotes, gold, and silver are all cash. So I'm here to do gold, do banknotes, not come to do bank accounts.

How to achieve it? It is to use my father's gene--peer-to-peer technology-to put this bookkeeping ability on every computer.

I am based on a type of Distributed Ledger Technology. I have the natural advantage of distributed ledger, but I have some flaws in my body, and I can't solve all the problems.

What is my defect? Distributed ledger means that the ledgers that in the past one bank must remember, now need to be stored on each node of the entire network. When you want to store them on each computer, it causes a huge waste of resources. You may not be aware of it, but I’m actually suffering from it myself.

So I can only do distributed ledger in areas where the amount of data is particularly small, and I can't do in the area where the amount of data is particularly large. For example, a lot of people expect that I can do what oldest brother does, that is, share files on the entire network. However, putting a copy on each node of the entire network requires a lot of resources.

The biggest role of distributed ledger is to remove the middle trusted institutions. Under my efforts, some third-parties credit agencies may no longer be needed in the future, and the efficiency of human life will be improved.

Soon after I was born, Satoshi Nakamoto helped me to deliver a child, so I was the first and the youngest one in my family who had children.

My Son: Bitcoin

My child is called Bitcoin and is a kind of digital cash based on Distributed Ledger Technology. Bitcoin is issued in simulated gold and has a total volume of 21 million, the amount of mining will be halved every 4 years.

My parents are particularly looking forward to their grandson - this decentralized, digital cash system which does not require any central bank in the world, can make the world's financial system more transparent.

Of course, I also hope that my child can grow up healthily. Don't let him fall into self-expansion early because everyone high expectations for him too much. He needs healthy development.

My Nephew: ICO

Since I had a child, my sixth brother Crowdfunding also gave birth to a son. He married a wife called Token, the token is the prototype of Bitcoin, and the logic of Bitcoin. After the combination of them, that is, crowdfunding to obtain the logic of tokens, they gave birth to the son ICO, the second grandchildren in our entire family.

Every family has problems. The most difficult problem in our family may be my nephew ICO.

The ICO has caused particularly great trouble to the whole world and our family. It is that when he is very young and he is not well educated, he came out to enter the society. He can quickly raise a large bit of Bitcoin, Ether, or other tokens without any actual project execution.

My Youngest Brother: DAO

I also have a youngest brother who is in the belly of my mother. Our family is all expecting the arrival of this youngest brother. His name is Decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO), which is a decentralized organization or self-organization.

In the past, the organizational forms of human beings were a hierarchies of managers. For example, a company has a CEO, and then down to the high-level, middle-level, all the way to the employees. This organizational form is actually very good, but there are also problems, that is, its communication efficiency is very low.

If we can pass my youngest brother, so that each organization no longer has a so-called management, but the self-communication, connect direct through an efficiency way, it is likely to improve the organizational efficiency of all humanity.
