Bitcoin continues to lose dominance. 37 crypto currencies with over $1 billion in Market cap. I've also joined a small team of investors looking for good cryptos

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Bitcoin's dominance is at an all time low at 33,6% as tons of other cryptos are reaching into the billions. Remember just 6 months ago when Bitcoin and Ethereum were something like 85% of the total mcap? When will the biggest flippening take place? Looking at the chart, it won't take many days or weeks before altcoins surpass the mcap of Bitcoin.

6 months later this is not longer a fact. And there is also one other thing - I've been UNDERESTIMATING the crypto space. I guess coming from the "normal" fraudulent markets it's so hard not to be way too conservative when estimating the crypto space.

A few months ago I would unfortunately rule out quite a few of the cryptos with an mcap of 3-400 billion because I thought they have had their bullrun. I could not foresee being a billion dollar crypto was something the number 37th crypto would become.

And even though I've been hitting 10x after 10x in my investment, I've noticed a big difference these past days. Usually, before, I could just refresh coinmarketcap and if the total market cap was up that morning, there was a 100% chance MY total holding was up as well. These past days though, that has not necessarily been the case. Today for instance, Coinmarketcap was up quite a bit, and I was eager to check by Blockfolio, just to see that MY portfolio was slightly down.

Sure, this is mainly due to the fact that Shittle (Ripple) is still being pumped and both Bitcoin and especially Bitcoin cash is not doing so well.

But the point here is not that. The point is that this fast growth this early in 2018 probably means that we will continue to see an amazing race in cryptos this year. The markets could possibly go much faster than anyone with a "reasonable" mind can predict. And another point is that it's probably not too late to buy into many of the "high value" cryptos like Lisk (I own that) , Raiblocks (Don't own), Status (own), Stratis (don't), Waves (don't) just to name a few. I haven't done research on all of these, but I will - and I will give my recommendation on them if I buy them!

I'll also be writing about two new VERY interesting low cap coins that I recently bought today - which I Think has the potential to go 50-100x in short time.

Also, in other news - I've joined a small team of investors, where we collaborate on finding great crypto projects. Nothing new, since that's what I've been doing all along. The difference is that collaborating with others, we're able to use better criteria and more easily and faster compare and potentially keep or dismiss. As revenues from Steemit and milk-skimming from other cryptos increases, It's important to steadily invest in promising cryptos.

As you all know, I'm continuously buying more cryptos - and I have yet to sell ANY into Fiat currency. Yes, I'm in this to make money, but I'm also an idealist. I will sell some at some point in order to buy a frigging garage to my Tesla (poor thing is living outside in the freezing winter) but I will never convert into Fiat for other things than things that me and my family needs that only Fiat currently can buy us. No jumping the ship here. Ever.

Have a great day/evening/night and see you later.

People Still invest in Altcoin Just To Increase BTC balance :) When Btc Start Increasing People Sold Altcoin for Btc To benifits , After BTC Stabilizes They Go Back To Altcoin .. at This Time People Focus More in cheaper ALTCOIN , XRP XLM XVG DGB .... Focusing More in ICO , When The King Start Increasing Again Altcoin Will Drop , all about timing You Will Make Profit in both Side :) now XRP 145,358,181,469 & this is Great in My Opinion To make bitcoin wake up by Threatening his place :)

I don't think Bitcoin will ever reclaim a bigger market share again. It will slowly drop down towards 10-15% this year which is the target. But that does not mean Bitcoin will not continue to go up in value. I think it will. Just not that much. I have target for Bitcoin at $25,000USD in 2018.

I have been predicting that another crypto currency will surpass Bitcoin in the future but if this trend continues it may be sooner then I was thinking. Maybe Bitcoin will make one more run back up to the 50% mark? Not that I want that to happen I have just seen Bitcoin go on quite a few runs where it gains dramatic market share and seems to suck the gains out of everything else for a period of time.

Don't Forget that 2018 Year includs lots of Forks So People Will Sell Altcoin To Have More Btc To get More Profit From Forks :)

I have not slept at all tonight. Just watching Tron going to the moon. Justin Sun increased his twitter following from 44k to 150k in just a couple of days as well.

Yeah, Tron is one that I totally missed out on. I have not really looked into it at this point, and will probably focus on others. But, good luck to you! Hope it goes up.

Thanks, so many out there.

by the end of the year it will have lost its market dominance and even the lead coin, the rate other coins are growing is to fast , look at ripple in the last 2 days , it has already replaced etherium as the no 2 coin, and a s other coins surge the dominance will be reduced greatly

haha. that will be super awesome to buy a garage to house your Tesla. Poor thing that Tesla. It has been enduring the relentless cold and neglect! Well, let me guess, are the coins you recently bought XLM?

Excellen post, very nice thanks for sharing

Today I've been doing well on Cardano (great coin) and Ripple (yes it's shit) - but ultimately ethics and gains are two very different things!

The real question is does crypto currency not stink as well, sure nobody will ever do a line of coke with bitcoin or have rolls of ethereum to wipe their ass with but money is money.

Low fees (below 1 cent) and fast transactions (just a few seconds) should be the main criterion for selecting crypto investments this year.

i think railblock is a very good coin to invest

Nice that you spent some crypto, because if we don't crypto will have no future.
