Yes, it has to do with your steempower, BUT haejin only started this because it gains visibility, not for their money. You may also try to arrange a session outside of this....this is just his way of giving even more back and helping those who help his visibility the most. Don't be down about the fact that having more money in your account gives you more power.....I just learned that doesn't really matter...this community is the real power. If you get the lottery that's great too, but he does so much here, he has to use his time as wisely as possible. Free coin requests are everyone's inside track. It will take some time and effort if you want to compete with those with well established accounts. Don't be afraid to try to contact him for a private consult at a good rate. In a way, these people's investment into helping his visibility so much is their way of compensation for his personal time.

New to this...two days, but any advice re steempower gratefully accepted . I have upvoted you, if you like my posts and videos, I will be posting lots of awesome videos -please UPVOTE ME.

Welcome! I'm glad to upvote anyone who supports this blog. I spend most of my time helping with this blog, and have very little time to peruse too many others, but I will be glad to view some videos of yours if you give me a heads up on relevant ones to whatever the discussion is. The thing with voting all the time is this though....you lose all your voting power and the rewards for the poster end up being nothing....so don't fret if you don't get upvoted all the time, once you build your account up, your upvotes have to be used wisely so as to not go over your steemit bandwidth and to make sure your vote actually give the user a reward. If you upvote all day, your vesting power goes to 0% which means you actually aren't rewarding them with any currency, just the upvote...which yes that is valuable also, but it's better to vote with more vesting power. I highly recommend you use the browser add-on called "Steemit more info" - it greatly increases your knowledge of your voting power, and adds a tons of information to your view of steemit.
