address verification + smart contracts
user: address info + userid + payment -> smart contract: address will be hashed and looked for in the database if it already exsist, if it doesn't exsist there will be a code generated that is connected to the userid -> payment + address info go-to postal provider. -> postal provider: send a letter with the code to address -> address/user: fills in code
if this would all go well user would recieve a letter with the code generated by the smart contract fill in the code with user id(+proof of being user) and it will hash your address, put it in the database and delete the none hashed address.
postal prodivers are chosen by voting and or amount of transactions.
what could go wrong:
'p' gets address with a code generated by the smart contract
'p' needs to be trusted otherwise they would let verification be made and get the output code directly from the system and could benifit from it.
problems I see is that there will be trusted/chosen postal providers but will not send some letters with code's and use them to their benifit.
P = Postal Provider
same concept could be done with phone verification but then you would still need to trust the phone providers so what would need to happen is that both systems need to be decentralised and fully runned by code.
does this bring any idea's in your head? please let me know.
don't know what I mean by this. just sharing.
