Estimates put his or her holdings at 1 - 1.5 million bitcoins. That could be slowly leached back into the market. The person could be dead. The wallets and/or keys may be gone or... They could cash out and collapse the market. Not that it would be a permanent killer but I can't help but worry about it every time the price soars.

The coins owned by Satoshi are known and the minute they move, the market will crash! They will either never move, they move and the market will crash, or Bitcoin will be too established to care.
I think only the first block is known the rest are estimates and probably spread over many wallets. Even that many coins can be cashed pretty quickly. Look at the silver market in the 80s. If he/she dumps them, which I doubt, it could be catastrophic.
I agree it would be catastropic but I still think that although not all coins are known, many are. If the first blocks start to move without reason there sould well be a rush for the exit!
