Cryptocurrency Fake News is Everywhere
When President Trump points fingers and calls the media "Fake News", we all take the accusation with a grain of salt. However, I'm noticing that cryptocurrency news is regularly inaccurate and yet investors are making decisions based on Fake News. Not too many people are standing up and calling out the media for causing panic and possibly intentionally manipulating the market.
Examples:
- South Korea plan to ban cryptocurrency
- South Korea plan to ban cryptocurrency exchanges
- China plan to ban cryptocurrency
- India plan to ban cryptocurrency
- SEC cracking down on cryptocurrency
- China freezing bank accounts
These articles are starting to seem a little too much like a pre-coordinated effort to bring the market down. I haven't seen any repercussion from these media outlets reporting fake news regarding cryptocurrency. Every hour there is another "news" report with some doomsday theme about cryptocurrency. We don't get the real story for days or a week, because no-one is willing to publish it.
Headlines are starting to pop up like "Bitcoin price plummeted again due to fake news". It is getting pretty clear that cryptocurrency is being attacked. But Why? There is big money in Fake News. Some of the Fake News is just to get the attention of the readers while others could be intentional market manipulation.
Yep. The amount of FUD spread by the media in the last period is too damn high.

Thanks for sharing this @socky. I know a lot of people in the cryptocurrency industry are quite confused as to why the market is practically jumping up and down with regards to price action, I'm glad that you made this point clear to everyone.
Working full time in cryptocurrencies (ICO consulting, online course creation and more), I see this happening a lot with media outlets.
Currently, in an attempt to help the cryptocurrency community grow, I am working on a project that I have called the "Steemit Success Initiative", in which I am working to 1) Bring more users to Steemit and 2) Increase the amount of daily active users on the platform too. I will be doing so by advertising Steemit on different social media platforms, and by creating a curation trail for 5-10 posts per day for Steemit beginners. I will also be providing those who join the incubator with free "Steemit Success" guides, access to a graphic designer who I will be paying for to create graphics for really great readers who I feel need help etc., and I will be running monthly competitions to give individuals one on one help, more graphic design help for their posts and page and eventually I will be giving out SBD rewards in competitions for beginners.
I am currently actively seeking help on this project in terms of advice, support and delegated SP. I announced the project in my latest post, but will be doing a full post on it this week with the intention of getting the attention of a lot of people on Steemit, in the hope that they will contribute to helping to grow the community.
