Vector Space Systems has their competitors, but no one is doing it as affordably as Vector. It costs about $1.5 million per launch using a 2 stage rocket. The first stage is a reusable rocket. For larger payloads it is just over $2M with a 3 stage rocket. At that cost, Vector is getting orders without ever marketing for the business. This is because there are massive amounts of satellites that have been sitting around for years that can't catch a ride to orbit. Vector is tapping into a market that is waiting for a launch company to start making rockets mainly because that there are just not enough rockets to support. NEXUS is essentially guaranteed to get into space. Colin (creator of NEXUS) is related to Jim (founder of Vector and Colin's father). They have two companies that are prime to be successful and give each other business and have a blood connection.

Sounds incredible. I was a machinist and early UI designer for a rocket thruster in the early 2000's for Northrup Grumman as a contractor while working on the Hubble to stay in orbit for a launch led by and supervised by Story Musgrave. That said I found a great UI that relates to our conversation thats really rewarding and a great data visualization tool to help you with NEXUS and Jim/Colin.

I think this will be valuable in teaching the community as well. Thanks
