Part Two of our CryptoNutz meeting in Winnipeg, presentation on the 4th Bitcoin Halving

in #bitcoin7 months ago (edited)

On April 19th I presented for our CryptoNutz meetup some information on the upcoming Bitcoin halving that happened hours after our meetup on April 20th. Some of the speculation of the presentation has been realised and we will be doing another presentation regarding this information in the next 120 days to see how accurate some of the predictions in the presentation are. Our meetups are once a month held on the third Thursday of the month. Part 3 of this video will be available in the near future.

One of the statements I made was the first Satoshi of Block 840,000 could be worth more than one Bitcoin which just sold by ViaBTC for 33.3 Bitcoin, I recently did a blog regarding that as well.

Our goals at CryptoNutz is to provide information to new users that assists them in understanding what Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies are and how to spot rug pulls and avoid the too good to be true situations that are associated with this industry.

CryptoNutz has been assisting users since 2012 and was started by four friends that all mined and enjoyed gathering on Thursday evenings and sharing our thoughts on technology. It soon started to be a gathering point of curiosity seekers that were outliers to friends and family as the information they were gathering from the Internet was not useful in their decision making. Having an unbiased format has given new and seasoned Bitcoiners a place to vent, share ideas and gain some insight into the growing landscape of Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and Artificial Intelligence in a comfortable living room atmosphere.

Didn’t see Hive on your whiteboard.

The whiteboard is displaying member's picks, we have this every month and it is different every meetup. I did a presentation on Hive a few months ago and after the presentation, it was a pick but not since then.

I see. Sounds like a fun meetup.

We have had some interesting businesses join us remotely to present their technology. We keep it positive and mostly inform people of positive aspects of blockchain tech, how to keep wallets safe and above all how to detect and avoid scammers. All in all it helps us and the people attending learn more.

Keeping wallets safe and avoiding scammers can't be understated nowadays.

Absolutely and many of us teach by experience 😕

Are any of them on Hive? I wouldn't put valuable content on FB :)

Yes some are but unfortunately most members are on FB. Hard for some to move away from familiarity 😊

FB is just getting worse. Full of scammy ads and unwanted 'suggestions'. I am in communities based there, but anyone into crypto ought to be looking at blockchain platforms.

100% agree, this is exactly what we discuss at the meetup, but like any new tech, acceptance is slow and challenging.
