Because I post on a regular basis here, in my wordpress blog and on fb (I really have to hold myself from writting forever) one could get the false idea I am also a very chatty person in my life in general. I am not.
The difference is I get terribly bored of 'small talk'. My job is very 'social' and I often have to keep some distance from others so I wont get involved with talking about daily routine, political cliches, and so I wont have to join those facades wherein you sit and talk about irrelevant stuff when you actually try to get laid. What's wrong with telling somebody you want to get laid anyway? If it's bad, why want it in the first place?
A reason why we can get so fixated with money, sex and some other subjects is because those things are taught to be better hidden. It's considered socially correct to hide them, even though both are of crucial importance the survival of individuals and of the species. Often some exhibit them by hideous, repulsive means, which can -in turn- create the impression those things are inherently repulsive. But that's not the only alternative to hiding.
Money has much to do with drawing attention. It's almost synonymous to attention. And that is why some that sell junk can also make a lot of money. Ways to convince consumers that junk is good or even necessary have been studied by some psychologists and are used on the field of advertisement. So you're told things like 'wear my brand, or you're not getting laid', which is one of the usual tricks.
And thus it can appear that the ill-intended make money. But it's not necessarily like that. Consumers do want to buy actually useful stuff and services. It's because one might not make his product adequately known that can keep him from selling.
One must be willing to draw attention. And fortunately cryptocurrencies have drawn enough attention and are useful enough to gain value. I wish they'll keep growing because they're a great idea.
I discovered bitcoin at a time it's value was around 2-3$. And as you understand I could had made much much money by now if I had invested a little more energy into it. But it wasn't mere stupidity or inability to predict it's growth that kept me from doing it. It was my own unwillingness to have that much attention. I just couldn't deal with it at that time. That might sound even more stupid to you, but it's the truth as far as I am concerned.
Well, it isn't true anymore.
