Let's just get The REAL TRUTH out of the way... Bitcoin is the Boss and every other crypto coin is a Bitcoin wanna be.. right? It seems to me that everytime a new ICO coin pops up, their 1st claim is based on it's improvement on Bitcoin.. Ours is faster.. ours is cheaper.. ours will cure cancer and ours will be... blah blah freakin blah. Shut up! Yours will be whatever Bitcoin allows it to be and you better be happy.
I imagine Bitcoin to be like the Marvel Character Kingpin.. he's really a cool guy.. he just wants to rule his empire in peace.. just do what he says, give him his space and everything is right with the world.. HIS world. He's big and he walks slow, even uses a cane.. Then here comes some Johnny come lately who wants to horn in on the territory that everyone knows belongs to the Big Boss man. Everyone except this idiot apparently. He sees this big slow moving behemoth and thinks because he's light on his feet and has some cool street fighting tactics that he's gonna beat down the Boss in front of all his minions and, take the crown. The guy swings making contact knocking loose the cane from Kingpin's hand. Not knowing that he's dealing with an expertly trained, highly seasoned vet in the art of battle, the big guy strikes back, giving the youngster the ass whooping of his life, and catching his cane before it hits the ground.. yes, Bitcoin is that bad..
When bitcoin shoots up everyone else crashes. Bitcoin just hit $18K US per coin... do you get it yet? Your fanboy coin is NOT going to do that.. I repeat NOT going to. Too many other fanboy coins popping up everyday. Guess what all these coins need to survive in this space.. the CryptoSphere.. yep they need bitcoins... in order to launch their ICOs these coins need bitcoins and lots of them.
I'm a trader.. I used to have my favorite coins.. I used to fanboy DASH and Bitcoin Cash.. really good coins.. great whitepapers.. blah blah freakin blah. Neither of them are BTC and will likely never be. I'm curious to know how something that needs bitcoins will EVER beat Bitcoin, and how that math works.. but I guess it makes for good marketing if you want to sell that dream to someone looking for a reason to hate the BitBoss. As a trader I don't even know what some of these coins that I trade even do anymore but I can read the heck out of a chart. And the chart I read the most is Bitcoins... when he's sleeping is when I go play with the ALTs.. it's pretty simple lol.
Bitcoin owns 54% of a $330BN market... do you know how much of a lead that is...? If I were a cryptographer every block chain I created would "play nicely" with the big guy holding the cane. I mean why not? But people keep trying to recreate the biggest wheel EVER created. I applaud the bravery and audacity tho.. heck I ran for Mayor in a city with the most popular mayor we've ever had so I know gumption when I see it.. (we'll discuss that one at another time)
This is really not Steemed up to try to stop Alt coins from being created. I mean there's probably a hundred or more concepts popping up every month and new crypto fans waiting to be the new storytellers of how they turned 20 cent into a million dollars. That will be fun.
I just think that if you're going to launch a coin, tout what's great about your coin, and to quote an old school saying, and keep the BitBosses name out your mouth.
