Why Privacy Matters
There was a Bitcoin 2019 conference a few days ago in San Francisco, CA. One of the guest speakers, via remote video of course, was Edward Snowden. I caught the video from Steem's very own @crypt0 . The video has garnered a quite a few views on Youtube, and seems to be making the internet rounds.
The video is about 42 minutes long with Edward speaking for most it about government and the loss of privacy and why it matters. He dispels the notion that only criminals need or want privacy and explains why it is fundamentally important for society in general to have privacy rights. During his talk he also talks about why he did what he did when revealing US government dirty secrets, and even talks about how he used Bitcoin to help facilitate exposing what he believed to be crimes and Constitutional Rights violations.

Maybe the government hate BTC because they will have a greater hard time in pursuing criminals Sir @streetstyle
Would they go against their own peoples' wishes and desires?
I think they would go against their own people if it affects their power structure and control.Maybe @cryptopie but I believe it has more to do with the loss of power and control that the governments currently have but that Bitcoin takes away. If the people of the World Stopped using Fiat money, what would the governements do?
I have read that almost every US Dollar bill from 1's up to the 100's, when tested, show residue of drugs. Trying that same residue test on Bitcoin, and nothing, nada, no drug residue right?
You are on point Sir but BTC cannot be stopped that is why governments will just have to regulate it.

regulators will always use this thing to not regulate bitcoin infact they know how dollar is being used lol

Common criminals use country cash currencies, the excuse of goverments and common people of don't buy btc because criminals use it is just an excuse but just the future can convince them. Regards

It's definitely paradoxical but the statement is true, the truth is that Bitcoin may be blamed by people that it's incoporated for nefarious purpose, but yeah so is the dollar as well, no perfection.
The dollars is way worse because it is used by criminals, can be counterfeited and the government can just print at whim.
Yeah exactly and there's been so Many counterfeit currencies that's been used as a vendetta to cripple so Many nations economic by spies and espionage by enemy nations, the crimes is just More than numerous, would be stupid to blame crypto
Bitcoin, dollars they will find a way to do it ....

This is very insightful. I know little about the market, I'm just a blogger. But I actually agree with what you're saying. Alts will at some point go up. It's a cycle. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
They can label bitcoin as a criminal currency all they want but it is just a currency just like fiat. Same way fiat are being used for criminal activities. They just want control and they never gonna have it. I now use

Abosolutely right. Before the discover of Bitcoin there was criminal in the world. They are evil minded and can use any kind of payment method. Awareness is everything.

ain't that the truth, i"m totally going to touch on this as my next post, people love using anecdotal evidence to bring down crypto but if we look at % of criminal activity the dollar and any other fiat currency is used for far worse than anything else
