Ok, so I am in several chat boards that this question is asked and when you get a million people asking, it clogs them up, so we decided to get rid of those types of posts, which I totally agree with. However, Steemit being a decentralized blockchain and me, having an interest in getting other peoples' opinions, I have listed some of my favorites , and I will keep a tally of votes ad write a full report on the winning coin this time next week.
(That' right, my 4 years in trading cryptos, brain picked, onto a post next week). Here is the list, and happy replying with your vote!
- Bitcoin
- Ethereum
- Monero
- Dash
- Dogecoin
- PIVX
- WeTrust
- Wings Dao
- Ripple
- Golem
- Steem
- Ethereum Classic
- Stratis
- Iconomi
- Expanse
- Bytecoin
- Digibyte
- Waves
- Factom
- Guppy
- Throw ins_ (feel free to list a coin that isn't on this list, but to count, you have to have at least a sentence of why you chose it.
I think Monero is stable and will keep making those good gains over the month. XMR
I jut wish they would fit on a hardware wallet. Not cool having to store it on an online wallet... ugh! However I hear they are working with Nano Ledger to add it soon.
WeTrust or Monero ( half vote each?)
I'd say Monero is the benchmark while WeTrust is the rookie prospect. With Vitalik Buterin, Bo Shen and the guy who created OpenBazaar on their board and a bunch of Google folks on their dev team, I think things will start to move in the next few months. That, and I love their decentralized peer to peer banking and insurance solutions. About time we took those needs away from centralized bureaucracy and back into the hands of the consumer.

I'm all in for Steem! I think it will do well along with Ethereum and Bitcoin!
I think although this may seem silly, the addition of Jerry Banfield certainly won't hurt the price. Guy has a nice following on youtube and is a good marketer. He helped Dash start their run up (not saying single handedly, but these moves help momentum).
@te-am
Hey, we'll take all the help we can get! I am very excited to see where things will go from here! :)
Agreed. Well, I will be spreading the word in Acapulco in February. All of my steem from my posts til then will be for my trip, in which I plan on only using steem and btc the whole time.
Iconomi is my bet.
Iconomi, from what I read, that is like a decentralized hedge-fundish investment in cryptocurrency, right? I'm actually throwing a little bit of change on it next week when I get some money out of my vault.

Digital assets on ICONOMI
ICONOMI is the first and currently the only platform where four generations of digital assets are available. Going beyond Bitcoin (first generation), alt-coins (second generation) and application tokens (third generation) - the Digital Assets Arrays™ (DAA) represent the fourth generation, one that combines the properties of all underlying digital assets."
I think this will require a whitepaper read to fully understand the project and how it's going to go about this.
