I've been seeing this around the cryptocurrency space and major companies even such as YouTube have show to have implemented crypto mining ads on their website this is absolutely crazy how am I not to say that this is major evidence that the internet Money revolution Will continue to dominate what do you think??! Regardless though Steem on!!
I think it also has to do with them keeping track of your data and cherry picking ads just for you based on that data. But yea, also its getting big
You are absolutely right! I get ads for crypto left and right on youtube which shows no signs of stopping for mainstream adoption. Steem on!
Gave you a follow have a great day glad to see someone agrees 😁
i think actually the covert mining started with the notorious Pirate Bay who implemented a script to mine monero without an opt-in ... in order to be able to "replace ads" ... which wasnt really welcomed by users, many sites seem to have adopted it and im sure about any malware currently is about that ...
cloud mining seems to be the actual ponzi scheme, ... few months ago i could get contracts starting at $39, now it starts at $4000 ... this is no longer something for "the people" , this is simply turning into an elitist zone for the already rich, and thats completely not what was intended, so despite what jp morgan and that nobel prize winner economist might say ... its clearly being adopted by wallstreet-in-suits ... if i gotta spend half a years wage on a mining contract that "might" get me my money back in two years ?
lottery costs less ... i cant even find a place to sell me ETC under anything less than minimum €100 last time i checked
crypto-capitalism, sad but true
You know man it's true it definitely is a rich man's world unfortunately but all we could do is do our best to progress and at some point we will do good ourselves I really appreciate your input and gave you a follow have a great day 😁
thank you very much :--)
there's only one way to give up and only one certainty in life : death ... thats as nice as the day gets hahah
I actually don't mind the idea of websites using my CPU to mine for crypto instead of serving ads. Provided, of course, that there are some limits imposed on how much CPU they can actually use... and provided there's some kind of notification.
I'm kind of curious how youtube was affected by this. A friend was telling me that apparently it was malicious code injected into the ad network, or something?
That's what I'm wondering those slick dogs haha and some sort of notice would be nice at least regardless Steem on ! Thanks for the commtary followed!!😁
