Thoughts and/or advice for a new cryptocurrency investor

in #bitcoin8 years ago

As someone who has just recently been introduced to cryptocurrency and recently made a tiny investment in Ethereum, it has been exciting for me to see this rapid rise. However, I seem to be seeing a lot of negative posts and what not about how Ethereum either won't be able to maintain this pace, even with the announcements of Russia and Japan being more and more interested in cryptocurrency. Also, I am interested in whether or not people think Bitcoin will be hurt by this rise in Ethereum, because I am interested in possibly investing in that as well.

Buy some BTC and ETH, store safely, check in 5 years.
If you want to add others I'd start with XMR, DASH, and ETC.

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely have to check into those.

Good post buddy. Buy some steem power and get working boy ;D

The first thing I would do, is stop by coinmarketcap.com
When you click on each crypto, it should have a link back to the bitcointalk.org website. Once you are on bitcointalk announcement page, it'll give you an idea of what is going on within that coin community, how the coin is made, and what the future plans are.

I always do the same steps when investing.

  1. Find a coin I might like to invest in
  2. Research
  3. Ask any questions I might have in the forum and to friends who are into crypto
  4. More research
  5. Verify there is multiple places to trade, and there are buyers for the coin.
  6. Invest and wait.
  7. Profit (hopefully)

This is just how I do things in the crypto world though.
I wish you luck with your future purchases. :D

Sounds like a solid plan to me! Thanks for the resources, much appreciated!!
