Hello Friends,

As the markets are returning to that o so natural looking green, i decided to share some more good news with all of you.

Chinese ICO ban

As the dust settles, more and more information is coming out about what really happend in China and it turns out to be a good thing (in my opinion). It looks like China is not banning anything, but is scared that the new "wild-west" in crypto is running out of control.

We must realize, that china was one of the first countries to fully accept bitcoin as money, and bitcoin can be spend in many, many stores there. As mass-adoption happens, countries will try to at the very least protect their citizens from fraud and theft. You can expect to see this in other many countries as well. And although Bitcoin cant be regulated by any government, they do have some power to keep an eye on it.

But for now the dust has settled, and growth is again at our horizon.

Google : Bitcoin

I always like to track what is happening on Google, as they have the unique position of being the worlds most used search-engine. Even though i personally dislike Google, and i started using Startpage.com for all my personal searches, i still use Google to research certain articles i write.

Searches for bitcoin are almost always increasing, with their own ups and downs :

But lately something is changing, as you can see in the next slide, Bitcoin is starting to get its footing in Africa and some of the poorest countries in the world.

This is great news, because especially in these countries, Bitcoin has enormous potential. Here in the western world, we all have bank accounts, and although there are criminals running the show, we are reasonably well served by the banking-gang. In poorer countries, the percentage of people having access to a bank-account can drop towards only 35% of the population.

Let Bitcoin set you free

For these people, Bitcoin is a true game-changer, and because even in these countries mobile-phones are very common, unlike banking services, they stand to adopt bitcoin and all its brothers and sister coins in a heartbeat. I can see them mass-adopting digital currencies within a year, maybe two. The groundwork is already there, and these people are craving for a solution to their financial problems.

So, as the markets are returning to green, and we leave the chinese ICO regulation drama behind us, we have nothing but clear skies ahead ;)
