If bitcoin's main claim to fame was that its name was "Bitcoin", why would BCC, as opposed to ETH, overtake BTC? It lost the name, so what does it have over ETH? Half a name?

Exactly. Based on it's qualities, BCC should be on the second page of coinmarketcap.
