DO YOU REALLY WANT TO START LETTING THE GOVERNMENT HAVE POWER TO CHANGE AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION?

in #bitcoin7 years ago

In the U.S. there is a big movement to have the government remove the second amendment. It all that is on the tv from morning to night. I think that we should really think about giving the government more power over the lifes of its citizens. Think about what will happen when fiat fails and the government says its because of cryptos. They will have people that will march against crypto saying its the cause of everyday citizens losing everything. This is when they will come in and make anything they can't control illegal.

I'm not a gun guy but, I am a liberty guy; and everyone should think about the power we give our leaders. In life you can't always allow things that happen to push a narrative; because it might be one that takes away a freedom you enjoy. I enjoy cryptos; I think they can help the world get away from the global elites grasp of power. A lot of people think they are disruptive to their life and could cause global collapse. People will starve and systems will fail; this is what they scream. I'm just trying to get people to realize that if we want change it comes through us; not big government.

So before everyone gets angry about the gun debate and rips me for asking the question. I just want to ask you what will you be saying when they want to strip us of cryptos because the government says they need to protect us from ourselves! Is this not opening pandoras box? what do you say?

I don't think you understand what the marches in the US are about. They are not about abolishing the second amendment they are about raising gun control. Simple things like 72 hours waiting period, raising the minimum age and psychological background checks. That is far from abolishing the 2nd amendment. Now I don't want to judge if that is good or bad but just wanted to help you get your facts right.

Thank you for your comments. I was watching speeches and commentary on CNN and they clearly stated a second amendment repeal. Maybe we watch different news channels, but I just want people to think about letting the government have more power. It always starts out like a good idea then the devil is in the details.

To the question in your title, my Magic 8-Ball says:

Do not count on it

We live in interesting times.

It seems like a nation of free people couldn't be ordered around by a government, that sounds like the sorts of things dictatorial countries do.

the more they play with the constitution in the name of freedom the more the tyranny takes hold. its always for the greater good until people realize what they have just given up.
