From a technical aspect Bitcoin cash is indeed better. And I can name a dozens coin better from both cash and core. All that matters is who came first. The average Joe out knows only the original Bitcoin and maybe etherium. When he invests he invests in the original...rHe doesn't give a shit for cash or gold or whatever. Cash will have a slow death but it will die.

Their emergency adjustment has been keeping it floating nicely. And yeah I do agree the average joe barely knows what bitcoin is, let alone bitocoin cash or bitcoin dark or bitcoin classic or bitcoin gold.
Original bitcoin can't do micropayments anymore, poor people and any 3rd world countrys can no longer benefit from it. The whole meme back then with bitcoin was showing how Western Union charged big fees to send money and now Bitcoin actually costs more sometimes than Western Union.
Bitcoin Cash has a decent purpose in the micro economy/blogging/video stuff like Steemit has(a newish site Yours.org uses it) and I think it will be something that lasts for awhile. Now whether it is worth thousands of hundreds only matters to people who hold it. If you convert it right away or use it then it works perfectly fine for people who are being paid for doing micro work online.
I thought they were also adding in emergency adjustments of it would happen at every block. The way it works now it might take a day for it to go down in difficulty before it catches up where it needs to be based on hashing power. If they add in every block it can go up or down dynamically then it will be more stable and have almost no down time.
Will be interesting to see how it works out! I certainly won't say no to someone paying me in either(I am still doing some BTC sig campaigns and making a few hundred a week ha!!).
