I've just finished reading a Coin Telegraph report about Nobel Prize laureates voicing their uninformed opinions about what Bitcoin is and how it should be regulated (if you'd like to waste your time, you can read the piece here: https://cointelegraph.com/news/regulate-it-out-of-existence-stiglitz-and-swiss-bank-bash-bitcoin-at-davos) and I came up with this wild idea:
Since Satoshi Nakamoto seems to have outsmarted an entire world, as governments and big banks watch this weird invention take away their power and influence, why don't we propose him for the Nobel Prize?
Just imagine what kind of publicity the cryptocurrency world would get if an unknown individual, whose identity and whereabouts remain a mystery, received a nomination. It might seem unlikely that we reach that point, but it doesn't mean we can't make a collective effort. After all, it's for the benefit of the entire crypto industry and it can only bring more money into the market!
So if you'd like to join the initiative, write a tweet @NobelPrize and use the #Satoshi4Nobel hashtag.
Spread the world and let's give Satoshi Nakamoto the recognition he deserves! We can all contribute to the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies and we possess the means to spread information freely and without the coercion of abusive governments and greedy incestuous banks that would to anything to preserve their monolithic status.
Would be absolutely epic if they gave it to a guy who won't come forward even with his name! Did you know the #1 candidate for Satoshi might have left an important clue for us?

I've read it and now think that Nick Szabo also deserves a Nobel Prize! Even if he isn't Satoshi, he still laid all the foundations for Bitcoin to be created. By the looks of it, any smart person with programming abilities following Szabo's work could create Bitcoin, though the timing is really intriguing.

The Nobel Commission is a tool of the NWO oligarchy. They no longer have any credibility. They gave Obama a peace prize as soon as he took office. That was a total joke.
So, sorry, but don't hold your breath that they will do anything good.
If the discussion makes it to the mainstream media, that's still free publicity for the crypto market. So even something as basic as a tweet can contribute to the cause. Is there anyone investing in cryptocurrencies who doesn't agree that Satoshi deserves a friggin Nobel prize? :)
I ABSOLUTELY AGREE.
It's also a great way of uniting the rather divided crypto community around a cause that everyone can agree on.
Nakamoto's never going to win it. First he's anonymous. They don't give The Nobel in Economics to anonymous persons. I have written about this once. You can check my blog for more.
I agree with you, but this isn’t about winning. Acknowledgement of Bitcoin’s accomplishments is much more important than a trophy. And the best part is that you can get nominated pretty much every year without winning. But doesn’t that mean more publicity and free media attention?
The entire crypto community can agree that Satoshi was/is brilliant and deserves this kind of recognition. It’s doing justice for him and a way for us to promote cryptocurrencies- which can result in a greater market capital thanks to the new money flowing.
And it’s just a tweet, it doesn’t cost us anything #Satoshi4Nobel

If Satoshi ever sold his portion Bitcoin would tank. If he ever comes to public he's probably going to get offed by somebody so he doesn't sell his portion... it's best that mister Satoshi stays hidden...
I agree, but don’t you think Satoshi is smarter than that and wouldn’t give a damn about a stupid award? The point is not for him/her/them to win it, but to make the Bitcoin cause get mainstream recognition for its accomplishments. Even a nomination means that a lot of attention for our beloved coin, media attention, and a larger adoption rate of cryptocurrencies!
I tweeted at the nobel prize twitter account. Hopefully enough people see it and join in!
That’s the spirit! Now we just need a few more thousands to do the same :)

that's not how it works
Yeah, I figured. It's the first time I'm trying this and I've discovered that they require payments. So since this is a noble cause in itself, I've sent almost all of the SBD that I have to a few of them. Let's see how this turns out :)
noble cause? Are you donating it all?
Sure, I hear the Nobel Foundation has run out of Alfred’s dynamite money and Satoshi lives off welfare.
