Not so amazing when you consider the instability in many parts of the world. The instant conversion into other currencys with a few taps on the keyboad has a lot to do with it. Look at silver right now; a hard money that is down in the doldrums because, of its cumbersome conversion into cash. I wouldn't trust the futures market with its central bank manipulations.
