We Are About To Add 30 Plus Million Bitcoin And Ethereum Wallets Thanks To Samsung's New Phone

in #bitcoin6 years ago (edited)

If you have not seen this tweet that shows the tutorial of the blockchain feature on the new s10 you need to click this now:

How cool is that?

Now only is the tutorial user-friendly but it shows off some things you can do with crpyto. This is great for new users and being on every phone it is something to try out even if you have never used crypto before.

And technically this adds over 30 million bitcoin and ethereum wallets on the market. Those were the sales number of the S9 which was actually considered low. I looked up how many bitcoin wallets there were right now and the answer was 32 million. So in a way the amount of wallets is about to double.

Yes the math is not that neat and a lot of phone owners will not use this feature but the wallets are there. And when a game comes out that uses blockchain or a friend wants to send bitcoin people will have the tool in their hand ready.

Wow, this will be a driver for big adoption. I am looking forward to see their wallet.

Good news indeed, but the reason people don't use Bitcoin is not the lack of wallets. And those that want to use crypto, already do that.

Hopefully STEEM price shoot up and get myself one of those.

Wow. This is amazing news. Mass adoption, here we come! :D

This could potentially increase adoption even in Korea where it is already pretty common as they were in the middle of the 2017 bull run!

This is great news. I'm all for adoption, but I'm wondering on how many people will actually end up using it. I'm sure some will check it out as it comes pre-installed, but I'm really curious on the boost of mobile wallets we will see.
