Interesting. If governments are even slightly intelligent they should buy at least a bit as a hedge vs their flawed fiat paper money.

Agreed, but I am not so sure the best and brightest at the world's central banks realize the fiat paper money system is flawed. I mean, you'd think they'd have figured it out by now, but maybe they actually believe centrally planned economies, debt and monetary printing provide "stability"
