I saw you followed me on twitter so I came to visit and this post caught my eye.
I have been a silver and goldsmith for many years. Mostly retired at this time.
Check your local coin or pawn shops, sometimes folks sell their silver, which these shops usually resell. Also on ebay you can find silverware. Look for sterling or .925 stamped on them. Happy hunting.
