I agree that the scammers impact peoples experiences with bitcoin or other coins. That can leave a bad taste in their mouths and discourage people. It's safe to gamble with keys if you never allow your balance to grow. But I started with 1000 (purchased at 0.04) and suddenly my account had a ton of real and serious value.
