You obviously seem to know what you are talking about @htooms and I agree with everything you have to say in your post but I am also a very skeptical man and can see how the platform could be used with negative intentions in future so I think it is incumbent on those of us who wish to see it become a positive force to make our voices heard.
I am very new to steemit and haven't really the slightest clue how the whole thing works but having been anti-social media until I joined steemit, I am having a great time here interacting with friendly, like minded men and women but whilst I see the attraction of earning a living from posting content I also see the dangers that the reward system has in terms of abuse and see a lot of similarities between the real world community and the online community with few at the top with much of the power and many at the bottom with little.
This does not bode well for the future but I am glad to see that someone in your position of influence has positive intentions!
