BitShares: How to browse market pairs

I get this question a lot, so it's about time to cover the topic

Let's assume we want to buy HERO with bitUSD.

Quick Solution

If you're not using the Light Wallet, you can reach the market very fast by manipulating URL.

Example OL

Base URL: https://openledger.io/market/

now you just need to add the trading pair.

Trading Pair: HERO_USD

Full Url: https://openledger.io/market/HERO_USD

Use Search

This is for Light Wallet users, or if you're not sure about the Asset's name

1. Click Exchange
2. Click Find Markets
3. Click Others
4. Enter Asset 1 HERO
5. Enter Asset 2 USD

And select it in the menu below.

BTW, I have a little problem: It seems that at the moment i'm not able to sell HERO at BTS DEX. There is a text "The owner of HERO has disabled trading in this market". So If I borrow HERO, I can't short it onwards right away. "Settle" command seems to be working but i'm not eager to wait 24 hours until settling will be finished. I'm using light wallet (BTS Munich) - what is it that I do not understand? Thank you very much in advance!
