I want to buy into BitShares so I went to the link that you provided and I couldn't get past the public name box. I'm a real newbie but I want to get involved. Anyway, I need help. hi @mitdriab, I am learning as you are. Keep asking the questions, even if they are to the other folks you see on here that have a higher reputation #. They help me all the time. Or ask the question in the search box, and you might get a full post on the answer you are looking for. I actually had someone else open my wallet for me. when you click on this link, you should get this: https://wallet.bitshares.org/?r=connie-willis
From there ask more questions as you go like I do. I would suggest upgrading to a life time member while the price is lower. It will be good in the long run, but thats your call. I hope this helps for now.

Also pretty new to Steemit had to wait a day or two to get confirmed Tony Peacock also has some fine videos on youtube and one that was very helpful or using margin via Openledger DEX with BTS Bitshares. Also has that great Aussie accent and I've been to Melbourne twice as best HS friend lives there with his Australian wife and 3 kids. Not roos though his sons:) People who may be new and not aware also can chat or hear from Tony Peacock and Stan Larimer via Bitshares Traders and Bitshares DEX respectively with Telegram app I usefrom my laptop prefer over big screen than cell viewing.

You know Connie if I had heard though I was researching mining, had done the drips of faucets and was setting up multiple wallets learn a good lesson though with Blockchain wallet that went to watch only. I had sent 61k Satoshi which was #10 to $15 USD and had passowrd etc though since it was empty I did not set up keys when I first set up username and pw so the link they sent via email I recover and when I went to verfiy it said expired. So as from what i read after set to watch only no way to recover one guy lost 15 BTC bitcoin ouch! The thing is early on I was going to buy Ripple short term as reports i had was sure to be over $2 bbefore the end of 2018 not bad when it was under 25 cents though hit 77 cents on 12/19. I told Stan I was glad to have heard him with you and decided to go with BTS on principal and liked Dan and Stan vision of Mutual Prosperous Community. The show I heard was Nov 24th on Coast at first so I was learning so much and reading for 3 months straight and using photoreading a bit tiring though works well for me and haven't used in quite a while. Worked very well for repair manuals though reading so fast as fast as one can turn page or page down is exhausting as many repair manuals written by non-native english speaking can be difficult at slower than regular speed for reading for comprehension. I plan on listening to more and I am subscribed on your youtube and recmmended to others who I'm sure will do the same! @ long term ones I like one of I bought at Openledger BTS DEX was EXCL which is a masternode coin one needs 5k of themto run and I'm over 7% of the way there perhaps and a long shot of Golfcoin at #1154 on coin rankings thouhg something like 0.000888 or last i looked $0.000545 as of just a minute ago oh I looked to see a few days ago and it was at 0.000322 and the next day it was up more though not sorry I bought at 0,0000888. I can't agree more with you.Your word alone is powerful. It's one of the reasons why I write. To influence people... to motivate them... through writing and the things that I like. Before Steemit, my words may be powerful but they're not spread that much... but here on Steemit, people all over the world read, understand and become inspired. Being able to share my thoughts through writing means a lot... and it being spread to more people is overwhelming. Somehow, in my little way... through the words I put into writing, I have made a difference. It doesn't end with me, though... All Steemians are doing their best, too. As you've said sir Terry... it's a network of like-minded people. I'm really glad how my motivational series gets attention from people. I hope they can learn something from it. I see you are using both YT and DTube; smart move because if there are playback issues, your new viewer will go somewhere else. So far I think these exchanges are just that; exchanges. By the the time they start lending/financing based on holding deposits for their customers, then they will change into banks. I think that is something that will eventually happen and for that, Steemit and Bitshares have an advantage as they are not stressed as it is, but they are also already looking at scaling up their ability to handle transactions while they are running at less than 1% of capacity.
