A crowdfunding in five minutes, do you believe it?
This is a true story and just happened yesterday:
A college girl who DIDN'T have any experience on crypto currency wanted to launch her own website---a VR theme website. However, she had no money to pay for the server and the beautiful web template fee.
Luckily, she met a guy from Bitshares community, and was introduced about the basic concept of Bitshares.
Then she made up her mind to raise fund through crowdfunding on Bitshares, and then spent half a day to read tutorials.
After she mastered all the knowledge she needed, she issued her UIA(User Issued Asset)---Hotheart
and announced this crowdfunding campaign on Bitshares forum. At the same time, she put selling order of her UIA to wait for the investor to buy them. The announcement post:

This news was forwarded to the chat room of Bitshares at the first time, and attracted a lot of eyes immediately.
As this girl only asked about 100$ to initialize her project, and invited several guys with good reputation to multisignature her account, people trusted her and buy out all her selling order ,
in five minutes!

In the end, she successfully converted the bitCNY to fiat CNY through btsabc.org and paid for all the fees for her website. Now, her website is up:

This is just an example about using Bitshares to raise funding, but it is also historical, because it could be the fastest crowdfunding!

Let's summarize the features of Bitshares this girl took advantage of :
Referral System:
In Bitshares, you may refer other people to register and get part of their transaction fee as bonus.
ID system:
In Bitshares, you account address is an ID with real meaning, not a long harsh address.
User Issued Asset(UIA):
In Bitshares, you may issue your own asset to facilitate profitable business models for certain types of services. People can hold and trade within certain restrictions. The creator can specify customized requirements, such as an approved whitelist of accounts permitted to hold the tokens, or the associated trading and transfer fees.
Multi-signature:
Bitshares provide multi-signature to improve the security of your account, as well as to increase the flexibility of your account.

Would there be a way to link Bts user ID to a steem account via key sigs and issue token purchases via sbd or steem as well?
Basically like an API portal acting as a bridge between the steem blockchain and the bts blockchain to sell tokens through steemit?

Currently, you may send your steem directly to openledger(BTS blockchain) to sell them, but you need to register a BTS id first. I hope some BTS developer can hear your voice, maybe what you suggest is possible.

They won't care to be known. They are yao and newtree, who are famous in Chinese community, and they are also in the share holder list.
Bitshares looks like a good choice for crowdfunding if you have a good idea. We need it.
