Not yet. They are making a third version of the app, which will initially support 6 different crypto's. I'm not sure if Steem is one of them. Right now you can send your STEEM to openledger, and thus have OPEN.STEEM in your smartcoins wallet. However that isn't real STEEM, but just an IOU (I Owe You) on the Bitshares network from the company Openledger. You can trade OPEN.STEEM against any other thing on the Bitshares network, and redeem it back from Openledger to your Steem account.
